I had the same thought with the belt pocket. Why wouldn‘t you put on two? Thanks for posting this video.

I have looked at that pack several times and thought about buying one.  Its a pretty cool pack and not very expensive either.

I like the Mountainsmith lumbar packs, I don"t have the DAY LIGHT. I have the DAY pack.I use my Mountainsmith Day Lumber pack ( 800 cu in, 1 lb 12 oz ) as a lightweight pack for summer time camping. No sweaty back like a regular backpack gives you. Going ultralight and keeping the weigh around 7 pounds or less it's the cat's meow. You can strap a sleeping pad under it, a cuben fiber tarp to the the back of it or even to the top if you want to. A Grand Trunk 7 oz hammock inside with the rest of the gear.

Hey topoftheline, just thought I would let you know that mountainsmith had recently redesigned the daylight, and I am sad to say for the worse. They have completely done away with the cell phone pocket on the strap, the hidden pocket on the backside, and ALL of the outer straps to hold extra gear. In essence, they have taken away all of the versatility of the pack except for the fact that it can be shrunken into itself. Because of the changes they have made to it, I can't justify spending the money on a product that they have stripped to the bare bones, and yet kept the price the same. I have sent a message to Mountainsmith to complain to them about their new design, but will not be keeping the daylight, or buying any other product from them in the future.

This is "Day", not "Day Light". Made of Cordura.
