Great as always Willie!
I would like to see a tutorial/walkthrough of the UniFi GuestPortal that I think has been improved/updated compared to the one that you did a few years back.

Keep up the amazing work you're doing!

Fantastic -- such a great video! I'll definitely be sharing a link to this video on a forum post I created on the Ubiquiti Community page so people know where to go to get great UniFi answers. I am relieved to know they are encapsulating L2TP traffic with IPSec. I was originally nervous as all the videos I saw online did not talk about IPsec nor did I see a specific reference to IPsec on the configuration page. The teleport option also seems like a great alternative. This is a first I am hearing about this type of VPN so I'll be checking out your other video that talks about it. Wanted to do my due diligence on the UniFi lineup before making the decision to move forward on adopting the UniFi lineup. Your video has given me the confidence that UniFi will be able to satisfy my security needs. I’ll definitely be using your affiliate link to purchase my first UDM Pro.

Willie, Thanks for the video. I run a USG Pro and have been for several years. The latest T-Mobile Android update on my Galaxy S21 will not allow it to connect to the USG L2TP VPN . Chromebook, laptop, and other phone still work great. Do you know of a client app for the android or a way to run IPSec on the USG?
Thanks
Wayne

Android dropped L2TP / IPSEK PSK since version 12. I was having that VPN type setup on my Edgerouter 12 but now I cannot use it anymore.

Had great success configuring it until it came time to really use it. The connections drop about 5-10 minutes of being connected. I initially attributed to computer going to sleep, but it drops even as I use the computer and even as I have constant ping going.
At this point getting all updates on windows, but seems to happen with both Win10 and Win11

Is there a way around you know where multiple VPN connections from the same IP can VPN into the network.
> When I have my clients go offsite to a meeting. Only one of them can VPN into the network because of the IPSEC tunnel.

I tried to use this for remote RDP with a UDMP but I’ve only able been able to get this to work without split tunneling enabled. This basically makes it useless unless I want to mess with routes or host files on remote PCs. I resorted to running a VPN in windows server which is working fine but I hate having that port open in the firewall.

We have setup this many times. But everytime we have a really slow connection over VPN. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this?

Willie do you have a slow throughput speeds with your VPN. Both client and host are on 1 gig fiber get 60-80 mbs .

Interesting subject, i don’t think i saw a official release about WiFiman desktop app for Windows/Mac/Linux, maybe in beta … Anyway L2TP does the job but for bandwidth needs, yeah go to wireguard protocol.

I love your videos but you spent five minutes talking about nothing. I am trying to setup my android phone for this thing and people seem to think everyone only uses iphones.
