So many comments that have questions, and not a single answer provided. Kinda like trying to get customer service for any internet service

I am using this for a small business. The one issue I'd like to see resolved is when someone calls me. Instead of the caller hearing, (paraphrased), "Standby while we attempt to connect you to the GoogleVoicemail subscriber", I'd prefer they hear something like, "Standby while we connect you to your party" or "Please wait while we connect you". This way it sounds a little more professional. Is there a way I can record that message?

I work as a courier and I didn't realize that my full name was going out to people when I call them about a delivery. I don't want my full name going out to people I don't know (and then people calling me weeks later still), so I'm hoping Google Voice can give me a bit of privacy while also allowing me to have a second line for work purposes, without needing to carry a second phone.

How can you set the timer to stay on longer? When I'm talking to talk text to write a comment or text if I take a few seconds to remember what I'm saying while doing the voice to text the voice comment stops & I then have to hit the microphone icon again to start talking to text again. How can I set it to stay on longer?

Hey Dusty. I'd forgotten about Google Voice because I bought a Google phone and subscribed to Google Fi. They took my Google Voice number and ported that to Fi. However, whenever I get a phone call, my Chrome browser rings first so I know to start digging my phone out of my pocket.
QUESTION:
1 - Will Google allow me to have a second number?
2 - If not, then could I do it with a different email address? (I'd have to set up a Google account with that other email address I guess.)
3 - A little off topic but, is their any reason I couldn't buy a domain name that was just my phone number? (I wouldn't do that with my personal number, but if I was a business, that might be interesting.) NOTE: I did a domain search and I guess it is not against the rules.

Thanks for the video. Helped with all features except the issue I'm having. Question: How do you choose the right settings so your personal calls show your personal number on the receivers caller ID? When doing business and wanting to use the GoogleVoice#, what settings should be selected for this # when you're making calls for business purposes? Hope that makes sense. This is all very new to me and I don't want to mess up my personal line and voicemail functionality. Thank you for your time and response to my questions!

This was very helpful - thank you! Is there a way to change the view on the screen so I only see the messages (text) portion and not the column on the right with the phone? Clicking hide keypad only removes the keypad but the call column is still there. Or, can we change the width of the columns so that the center column (which shows the texts) is the widest? On my view, all of the columns are equal in width

I get that calls to your G Voice # will ring on your cell phone or computer app but can you receive SMS/calls to your original/primary # on your computer app?

It's been a while since I've used it. It's asking me to re-verify the number. It also has an "X" to remove it. Do you know what would happen if I remove my linked number? Would I loose the Google Voice # altogether?

Had a Galaxy S5 where I had to click on the VOICE icon to send a call out over Google Voice. Now with a Galaxy S10, even when I click on the conventional phone icon the call is often made through Google Voice. How do I make it behave like it did with S5?
