I had a lot of trouble getting below 1:20 until I spent more time just practicing solving the initial white cross faster, over and over again, without even worrying about the rest. It is by far, the slowest step, for most beginners. Now I know why speed cubers examine the cube for 15 seconds before hand. It's so you can get that white cross solved almost instantly, after that it's pretty much robotic.

JPerm flexing his cube collection and his skills on Michelle is my favorite thing

This is so awesome! I was a kid in the early 1980's when the Rubik's Cube first became popular in the US. My best solve time was 1:07. I was 12 or 13, I don't quite remember. I've completely forgotten how to solve the Rubik's Cube but I've been inspired to see if I beat my personal best time from over 40 years ago.

VERY impressive, and great to see J Perm as a teacher! As newly started, my first timed completion without any aid, was far slower than yours - I came in at 9:19... On day 9, I finally managed a personal best of 1:00'00, so one minute dead on. You took only 7 days to do that - great job!!!

This video really changed cubing for me. When I first saw this video I was averaging 1min 40secs, but then seeing Michelle get solves under 1min inspired me to improve. I even got to know J perm through this video and learned CFOP from him. Fast forward 6months now I average 20. I hope to get even better at 3x3 and the other events!

J Perm's muscle memory is kicking so hard, that when he dry solved the cube at 0:57 he slammed his hands on the table as if he wanted to stop the clock.

I've had students that got sub 90 seconds after a couple weeks, so seeing sub-60 in a week is pretty incredible! I love seeing so great determination and dedication - especially with the Rubik's Cube!

Are you seriously gonna do everything interesting to do in the world while you're still alive, inspiring and helping people? I love you so much.

Good job Michelle! I learned how to solve a cube in lets say june 2023 and know im sub-30. I had a cube 11 months before i first learnt how to solve one. Me and my classmates would try countless of youtube tticks but it never worked. I had this one friend that could solve a cube.We would ask him how to solve a cube until we finally learned. He used J perms beginner method and I used it too.Props to him and J perm!

J Perm taught me how to do the entire cube. I went from doing it in an hour or so to 1 and a half minutes in 2 days, I'm now working on getting a speed cube and trying to get into the lower than 60 seconds, and if Michelle did it I probably will too!

I've never solved a Rubik's cube in my life before but I'm always so fascinated by it. After watching this video I kinda want to learn it lol.

It is always great to see someone learn to cube fast. I don't have magnets in my cubes, and I'm stuck on the 40 second plateau of hell 25 years after learning how to solve one as a teenager.

I loved the dedication in this video. It took me about 2-3 days to get a sub 1 min solve and about 3 weeks to get a sub 30. I love how determined you were in taking on a challenge that only 5% of the world can do. Major props to you!
