27:55 They actually can spawn under un-enclosed overhead mountain. The first game I officially completed had an overhead mountain spot across a river and to the NW of my base, and all of the infestations would happen there. It was also completely exposed in one direction with no walls or doors to impede it.

With that in mind, I'm pretty sure the only way to avoid infestations without turning them off is to do what you did and completely cover up all overhead mountain spots, at least inside where your base is. I personally don't mind most of the time in my current base because it's usually free kibble meat and I can save actual meat for my colonists.

32:01 IIRC if you cancel a job before it's full of materials (changes from blueprint to unfinished), you get a full refund. If you cancel it after that as unfinished, you only get 75% like with deconstruction. Kinda sucks, but oh well.

WRT meals, another option would be to make carnivore fine meals: you have loadsa meat & very little veg ATM, & have had for some time

~7:00 Spuds still grow a bit faster in rich soil, but they don't get as much of a buff as other veg or crops

~9:00 This is exactly what I was talking about earlier: any exposed OHM /on the map/ increases the chance of an infestation event. 27:39 Infestations will prefer to manifest at tiles with an owned construction on them, so building a wall to enclose that area will /increase/ the chance of them spawning there.. mostly: that area's currently too small to hold the amount of things spawned in the last event, let alone the next one.. & they'd soon dig out of it anyway

5:45 But you don't need the mod for that. Your setup with multiple conditional orders already achieves that as it will satisfy the higher priority orders first.
To improve it, I would prioritize the low quality meals first, since they're faster, and really the only reason why you'd want simple meals over fine meals is if you're running out of meals altogether.

Never really watched videos like this before, but decided to try yours to "enlighten" myself on things I might not know on my own. Watched all from the beginning, but seemed to have missed the satellite beacon thing and haven't found it it game either. Which episode was that in again?

Some things Quill did not notice (perils of bulk uploads): 
more generally upper-left notifications like the space combat trader
the fact that Berg's right eye was cut out by the insects
the quest he accepted from last time as well as new lovers
he can knock down that inner wall to create a bit more freezer room
it might be best to break up the covered walkways w/ unroofed "skylights" and you could put planted flowers to help w/ beauty of the base.

had to look up the weapons quality stuff he mentioned. i had no idea that it effected dmg and no wonder my skilled shooters are suking loli just give them whatever i got laying im learning
