Of all his incredible scenes as the joker...i think Ledger's finest work is right here with this police car scene...he doesn't say a single word, it's just him as the joker..completely embodied in the madness. he captures who the Joker is right here. Absolute genius.

Took me a while to realize joker didn't want anything in particular he really did just wanna see the world burn along with the government and batman. The police car scene where his thugs are driving the police cars around all crazy shows how truley chaotic and insane the joker and his followers are.

I’ve always loved this scene but the movie overall is a masterpiece. I have always interpreted this scene as the Joker celebrating a plan well executed. He’s soaking up his victory and enjoying every moment of it.
