Joker: "I enjoy gasoline, its cheap"
Everyone right now: "and I thought my jokes were bad."

"Money is the reason i'm still alive"
*said by the man before getting burned on a mountain of money*

Omg, when joker said “this town deserves a better class of criminal, and I’m going to give it to them.”

He was talking about Dent, not himself because the joker does not consider himself anything.

It’s kinda sad because the Russian was basically the only guy who was ever nice to the Joker. He was willing to hear him out, never attempts to betray him, and seems genuinely excited to hear what the Joker wants to use his money for. He’s never thought of the Joker as a freak and seems much more upset about being betrayed.

The funny thing is the Joker actually was more successful at getting rid of organized crime than Batman.

Everyone is mesmerized by Ledger’s acting and remembering afterwards that Lau was still sitting on top of the money pile he just lit on fire.

This movie was a masterpiece. Every character is phenomenal, but Heath was the light that illuminates all.

That slide down the mountain of money is one of the most Joker things Ledger did. Absolutely brilliant! RIP Heath!

The fact that joker can convince hired goons to burn a mountain of cash shows how much charisma he has and how intimidating he can be.

Plot twist: Joker is actually trying to save Gotham from inflation.

I love how Heath delivers 3 iconic lines within 5 minutes:

“This town deserves a better class of criminal.”

“And then we’ll see how loyal a hungry dog really is.”

“It’s not about money, it’s about sending a message.”

The way Havey screamed "SAY IT!" gave me chills and still kind of does.

It is nothing less than a national tragedy that Heath Ledger didn't get to reprise his role as Joker. Seriously legendary performance.

He killed every single Criminal in Gotham city

2:23 this little moment is so overlooked but reveals the contempt Joker has for others, but especially his “less than worthy” criminal partners. Throwing money in Lau’s face. He almost seems to hate the idea of someone caring about money. Lau lived for money, and now he’ll die for it (and on top of it).

And it just shows the true nasty, cruel streak of the character to be unnecessarily vicious
