5 Ways To Roll Up Shirt Sleeves | Sleeve Folding Methods For Men

There's a serious contradiction of intention when a man rolls up his shirt sleeves.

Is he getting ready to fight? Or is he relaxing at the end of a hard day? Or is he getting serious and down to business?

Or.... is he just cooling off?

Historically, men have rolled up their shirt sleeves in preparation for work or a fight.

Watch any old Western film and notice how men take that extra moment to carefully fold their sleeves before landing a punch!

Sleeves would also be rolled up at the end of a long day as men headed to the bar for a drink with their mates.

I always roll my sleeve up in a shirt, especially as I have very well developed shoulders and chest, it puts more emphasis on my shoulders and suits me better. I use what you call the master roll to look more formal and the 3 or 2 roll to look more casual. Great video

Thanks Antonio for another great video...Also i could really use your opinion on rolled up sleeves... i tend wear a lot of informal shirts and i like to have my sleeves rolled up...i hardly ever wear my casual shirts without rolling up the sleeves and due to this i tend to store them on a hanger with the sleeves rolled up so that i don't have to redo them all the time...is this OK or am i disrupting my shirts like this ?? I have visited many online forums to get an answer about this issue but couldn't come across any so really looking forward to your advice on the matter

Those sleeve garters remind me of card dealers you see in western films.

The master roll is brilliant! I have a shirt with contrasting trim, so now I know how to show it.😀
