This video is a great idea; but, I still dont get most of the differences between technologies. What are quantum dots? What is the panel structure for each tech? Please keep these videos coming. Terrific and very likable presenter.

Very good info thanks so much! I'm still rocking my 2013 Panasonic TC-P60ST60 Plasma because it still looks stunning. OLED is the only thing I'd consider to be an actual upgrade over my plasma so I've been watching as their prices come down over the years. Now I'll be keeping an eye on the microled's too as they sound very promising.

So which 65" tv would you suggest that have these features and would not burn a hole on one's pocket? Looking for suggestions.

Micro LED is the best followed by Mini LED and then FALD then burn in OLED.

isn't qled a trademark that samsung owns when they bought out the original QLED company? that prevents other manufacturers from using the name

The demo of HDR at 6:07 is actually a terrible example. The Non-HDR isn't even non-HDR, it's just the same as the HDR image but with the contrast turned down and the blacks clipped. A better example would be a blown out sky and correctly exposed foreground or vise versa.

I suppose all the new releases have been pushed back?

Most of LED are actually Edge-lit, more expensive ones are FALD. OLED great brightness? Are joking? 150 nits or even 400 is not great.

eARC gives more bandwith and thus more resolution, channels, you can get Atmos and DTSX with this.

Also HDMI 2.1 gives you 120hz @ 4k and, 60hz @ 8k. Also quick switch feature, as well as full RGB with 4k and HDR. Better chrome subsampling.

But yeah, go Caleb, you sell out journalist. That was just sad. There is better info even on wiki.
