In a nutshell - any TV is fine just make sure there's a fake plant next to it.

What's the technical reason why burn in isn't a problem now with new OLED tv's? i want to understand.

Why you not talk about bright spots on the screens of LED TV? Caused lenses falling off. I have a 75 inch Samsung with just one bright spot right now, but anticipate more showing up. Researching to find out if this problem has been resolved, is what brought me to your video. My Samsung is 6 or 7 years old, and thinking that, instead of spending a bunch of repairing this problem, upgrade to a newer television. Costco is likely where I'll be shopping. Any and all input is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

im glad i watched this, and other vids of yours. im on the market for a new tv. and i think ill just go with regular LED. cheaper and not insanely bright. it seems like the biggest notable differences between the types is brightness and contrast. i find it interesting cuz its not good for your eyes!! and the worst devices for your eyes are generally the most expensive.
personally bright lighting really hurts my eyes. i cant even drive at night cuz of the new headlights everyone has is so blinding and painful.
at night i leave the tv going to fall asleep and i dim the light way down, remove contrast and increase yellow/red lighting while also removing some color.
granted i seem to be sensitive to light, sometimes it makes me sneeze, but staring at a bright tv is still not good for anyone's eyes.
it would be cool if you did a video on tvs that have the most customization in the picture settings while also having great resolution quality

I have a 55 inch TCL Roku tv that I bought brand new in 2018. I'm ready for an upgrade to a newer model and I'd like something similar but I have a small budget for this. Do you have any suggestions?

Did you say QD OLED is brighter than a traditional oled?? Also, set it and forget it is simply not true. I watch ice hockey, the colour of white is not equal to a w-oled, and it never will be.
Edit: it seems the latest QD OLED from Samsung, their S95D has been measured to be the brightest OLED tv yet. So, ignore the first bit 😊

I bought an Oled TV 6 years ago from LG and get burned after 2 years of usage. I lost 3500 US dollars . LG said that it will cost me 2250 Dollars to repair it, but instead i bought a new Mini Led TV

I'm going with the TCL 85" S Class 4K UHD HDR LED Smart TV with Google TV

I've considered OLED TVs, but Mini LEDs like the Sony X95L have gotten so close to OLED quality that there's no need to tolerate the risk of burn-in....even if that risk is minimal.

Hi Jon I just found you on YouTube and I wanted some advice. My tv is on like 8 to 10 hours a day and half that time it’s gaming, I also have a bad habit of falling asleep with it on. My choice would be a QN90D because I’ve always been a big fan of Samsung and I’m worried about burn in’s from Oled’s. Is there a better option in my case?

“For your use case”??

Why is it necessary to label everything a case or an event…. Why isn’t “for your use” adequate.

A good summary of the technology though.
