Shanghai's Agibot is set to revolutionize the robotics industry by mass-producing humanoid robots, with plans to deliver 300 units by the end of 2024, directly competing with Tesla's Optimus. Other key players like Unitree Robotics and Stardust Intelligence are also advancing rapidly, offering versatile and affordable humanoid robots designed for a wide range of tasks, from household chores to industrial applications. These developments mark a significant step towards making humanoid robots a practical and accessible part of everyday life.

5:31 This is exactly how I move after I exit the cinema in the mall and start walking to the restroom...

We are soon approaching the day when AI humanoid robots enter the battlefield. At $16k a piece (and I anticipate that price will drop as technology improves), we can imagine a squad of robot soldiers marching into battle. Unafraid. Mission-oriented. Impervious to wounds or pain. Killing machines.

I'm waiting to see a robot that can do anything on its own 😅😅😅

They still walk like 90 year olds but think like 2 year old mice.

Il mio ragazzo mi chiese di sussurrargli qualcosa di sporco all'orecchio. Mi sono avvicinata e ho sussurrato: "Bucato... piatti... tasse...". A quanto pare, crescere è il massimo dell'eccitazione🍭

There is something wrong with Humanoid Robots. Who wants them to stand and walk like us? There are disabled people sitting on Wheel Chairs, right? What about going up the stairs with a wheel? So, wheel of the Robot has to change its shape then to suit the size of the stairs over which it has to go up. Then, something is also missing in the current humanoid robots. What is it? It is a plank either on which it is sitting or using as support for its back. Why? Suppose it has to fold a shirt. A flat material is needed. yes, it is nice for them to have beautiful face just like humans. The more beautiful its face is, the more attraction it gets.

Robots are too expensive for poor people. A poor person NEEDS a robot that can do any household task on no less than 8 hour charge for a price of $5, 000 or less.

Hi. Thanks for this.
I'm a Luddite Aussie who's lived solo in my homemade camper, but "on the road" (ie., mostly by choice, homeless) for over 20 years.
Having a Robot as a companion has long appealed to me, most because of what I imagine is a Bot's "innate" impartial intellect.
Seeing the "Unitree G1" selling for $16k means I would buy one (maybe TWO!).

But? As with all my tech devices, living in forests, ie, in constantly a "dusty" environment, a big question on getting any Robot is "how dustproof" will they be?"
Then, th next big Q is dusty places or not, how easily would a buyer (but I) get the Robot serviced, how often woukd it/they need to be, taken to a service centre or such, then what about "parts", from the micro-electronics/circuits up to such as a leg or finger, were either an accident damage something, or, dusty or not, a part fails?
Like all tech products, when they fail, it's very often only one, and tiny, part. Yet we see waste disposal landfill sites litered with junk prods, because only one tiny part has failed.

So, even at twice the $16k price of a Unitree G1, a "HEAVY-DUTY" Robot made to take dusty or other rugged environments, would be what I, and lots of others, need.

The "Dust-proof" factor cum guarantee would be 1, essential, and 2, a big positive selling point, for lots who are not living in squeaky-clean city or urban environments.

Cheers,

JaRD

omg can one of these robot companies please give them toes? just one of them. please. so everyone can see how much better it looks when walking. i mean active toes that it can stand and balance on. i am tired of seeing decades and decades of robots with flat feet. has nobody ever discovered that humans have toes that are used for walking, standing, balancing, jumping, climbing stairs, everything?

3:08 that's not threading a needle, it only pushed the needle through a button, if i was buying a humanoid robot, i don't think having it's knees bent backward would be a good selling point, and i would want it to be my bodyguard, plus cook and clean.
