In this video I talk about Push-ups! It's a basic exercise but when done correctly has amazing benefits for muscle growth. Helping us grow our chest and triceps. However, to do this we need to perform them with perfect form. So I discuss how to do the push-up correctly to aviod injury and promote muscle growth. I also give the progressions for push-ups so you can do your first push-up or move on to the harder progressions. Thank you for these man. I’ve always noticed that I feel way stronger doing 10 full range of motion pull ups than 30 “half-assed” push-ups, and struggle with them more too. Goes for the same in my pull ups and about everything else too. I’ve reduced my target and gone for quality over quantity and can feel more muscles being worked out from just a push-up simply by extending my range of motion.

People are surprised when I tell them I can only do so “little reps” of a workout. But when we compare workouts they just go for numbers rather than the effectiveness of the work out. It’s not a dick-measuring contest.

In high school gym class, my coach told me to imagine a triangle alignment made up of my elbows and head. I always have my elbows tucked into my side quite tight during my reps. I don’t know if that’s beneficial for my chest, but it’s added a significant amount of mass to my shoulders surprisingly.

Nice video, I used to do 47 push ups but I’ve realized that my form wasn’t that great so now I can only do 36 proper form push ups but Imma get back to where I was eventually, form over numbers yall 💪🏾
