So simple yet so informative. It’s a clear explanation of: “if you do this, this will happen, if you do this, this will happen.” Thank you!

Man…I watched this video last week and tried a higher kick for the first time ever today (and it was in match), and it went over my 6’ tall opponent’s head!! Didn’t hit a rock or anything! Unreal

Some days I hit a good kick serve, other days not so good. Looking back, I was doing many things right. I was throwing the ball in front of my body, BUT I was not under it enough. I often hit a serve with topspin but not a high bouncer. Now I can hit a hard high bouncer most of the time if I get under the ball. Nikola cleared up my problem.
Great job!!!

I lost my kick serve over the years, this is a useful refresher. I remember I used to have the mentality of forcing myself under the ball no matter how far into the court I tossed the ball, and resulted in nice heavy kicks. I haven't thought that way in years, it could be why my kick hasn't been very good as of late. great insight like always.

Wow the lines at 2:15 have been the most helpful thing I’ve ever seen in any tennis video. Great vid and can’t wait to practice my servers tomorrow!

This explains why my kicks seems higher when just warming up and in matches I was losing height from tossing the ball into the court without staying vertical. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

I always liked Edberg and never knew he does these benign adjustments. Thanks coach Nicola for explaining the technique. Best video on Youtube ever.

Wow this is expert tuition. The best video I've seen explaining how to do the kick serve. Broken down well too. Cheers!

Now I understand why Edberg got more foot faults than any other player on the tour ever!😉 Thanks for a great video

It's just amazing how you break down technique. Biomechanics is the most important thing and you really help us understand in what positions we should put out bodies in order to achive this without nonsensical tips.

Just commented on a recent video about how I realized I lacked hight in my kick serve, and now I saw this video on YT home page suggestions. YT algorithm may be scary, but at least it has been convenient so far.

Also, thank you Nik for making this video, it is literally what I needed right now and I find that your guidance is much more helpful than any other tennis player / coach I've met! ❤️🎾

@Nikola so I tried the Edberg tip out. Works great. What help the most was the tip about still toss it in front lean in but get under the ball. That helped execute this style of kick with forward momentum. 👍👍👍Thanks.

Brilliant lesson Nick on a very nuanced aspect of the kick serve. To gain extra margin without losing power.

Great video, but with practice you can get the best of both worlds. The serve at 7:39 was the best of all of them. You were leaning in for power AND got a great kick.
