17 Signs That You're Lonely

Are you lonely? If so, you’re not alone. Recent survey finds that 61% of Americans suffer from chronic loneliness. That means 3 in 5 people regularly experience feelings of social isolation as well as social anxiety. Loneliness is becoming an epidemic among Millennials and members of Generation Z, but it is also prevalent in older generations, especially in the elderly.

Why is this significant? Well, long term solitude can negatively impact mental health, as it’s often tied together with depression and stress. But that’s not all. Chronic loneliness can also affect physical health.

Of course, there’s a difference between being alone and feeling alone. Feeling lonely means that you have no one there to talk to or turn to when you want to. It means that your social needs are not being met.

The good news is that you can overcome loneliness. But first, you need to learn to recognize the signs you may be lonely.

I’ve been lonely and I’ve been depressed and this video seems more to do with depression than loneliness. Sure loneliness can be a catalyst for depression but know where to draw the line and know which is which. Just my opinion from being in group therapy and experience with antidepressants etc. Know thy self! Peace be with you in all situations.

The last time I was lonely was about 7 years ago, it descended on me like a cloud then I got a phone call asking me to look after my great nephew for a few days, he's as cute as can be and I love looking after him, he ten now, it was just what I needed. God is so good He always provides. Anyway that was the last time, I love my own company so lockdown has been bliss bliss bliss. But I have compassion for all who are lonely and pray that God will supply your every need.
