We had a wind storm. A few loose leaves blew around the yard. The reason so many lost power is lack of maintenance and vegetation control.

The Maritimes have had hurricanes for hundreds of years. Utilities in NS are notorious for crappy service.

if you sneeze hard too hard near any of the rotted toothpick poles that NSP uses throughout its power grid the power goes out for 1000s of over-paying customers for at least 24jrs.

Seize our grid back. NS Power has been slacking on maintenance for decades. This monopoly is unsustainable.

Imagine 2023 and still using 1900 technology to get power to your homes. You’d think the price NSP is GOUGING Nova Scotians, they should be able to keep the power on during storms

I was out there during Hurricane Juan when that hit. I worked at Tim's in Bedford. The business sign was in the drive thru. We didn't have power in Dartmouth for over a week. It was intense.

I am grateful that It didn't get worst-case.... And it's always not where the wind is blowing it's what the wind is blowing.
