This video is a condensed version of stuff I’ve shown interest in over the past year. So for those of you that follow this channel, there is stuff in here not displayed in earlier videos,   but you will probably recognize a lot too. The things that are completely new to the MIDI Guitar project for this year are the generative apps for Instant composing I’ve managed to incorporate here. Many of you, I am sure, will listen to some of this stuff and think it is prerecorded track where in fact it is not. Most of the new stuff  I’ve found as a result of adding Abelton with the Max for Live platform to my setup. Some of the devices, such as the Dr. Chaos devise from the probability pack and Swarmalators from Dillon Bastan are sure to pop up in a lot of my videos going forward.

A little caveat to begin with: these are only opinions! The relative qualities or degrees of usefulness reported on about any the software, is from my highly personal perspective of looking for the most interesting playable and controllable instruments or devices I can find. And also, everything here, that isn’t freeware is software/hardware I have purchased to use. I have no affiliate links, no paid promotion, not even trial software. So please don’t ask for a copy.

As always, if you are interested in the MIDI Guitar 2 software go to

and grab the trial version. It is completely free to try, for as long as you might need! 😀👍

And of course, the breathcontroller I am using throughout is a BBC2 from TEControl :

If I missed something, I am sure you’ll let me know? 🤝👍

OMG. Brother you keep on expanding way beyond expectations. That composition at 2:22 sends me to the year 2521 😬. I would like to say.... IMHO its time for a LoFiLeif Sonic Production!! Seriously, these samples would make really superb full compositions. Thanks Again, and really appreciate your presentations of both instruction, and Excellent Sonic Events. Happy New Year!!

Thanks for all your effort in putting these videos and doing the detailed descriptions!, it's great to see a channel of someone who can actually play guitar well and also knows how to use technology applied to it, and with no spamming or promotional affiliate links!, this is the best essence of a youtube channel for sharing and learning!, BTW, it's great to see all the amazing collection of guitars you have!, What are all the controls on the Parker Fly that appears on the video thumbnail?, it has at least 11 switches/controls!... Hope you had a great Christmas and wishing you the best for 2022!

I love how you incorporate the hybrid picking to free you up to get whatever you want. How are you doing some of the parallel harmonies, it looks like some are software generated and some are in your left hand. I love your playing ;-)

Hi, thanks a lot for those materials. What do you think is better for Midi Guitar 2, humbuckers or single coil pickup?

Can I please learn the name of the device you are blowing and its purpose? I see that you are playing the guitar in traditional fashion and Jam Origin Midi Guitar 2 is converting guitar signal into midi. But what is the digital mouthpiece doing, and what is it called? Thanks in advance.
