I have to point out that Christine deserves more credits! the fact that Dave knows Christine's cost is cheaper than regular cost and he's not even surprised, it may be a normal thing for Dave but it's all thanks to Christine's works and efforts!!

I agree with Dave, taste over convenience. Most repackaged food taste like grease and plastic lol. That being said, you can prep the sausage and eggs for the week and warm the cheese and bread when you reheat the sandwich in the morning. There are ways to prep for the week and still get that fresh taste.

A tip on re-heating these: I used to pre-make breakfast burritos for my husband, and found that the best way to reheat them was in the oven. I wrap them in foil before freezing and then he would put it in the oven while he was getting ready in the morning, and by the time he was ready to eat breakfast it would be heated up.

I agree with Dave. Fresh made sandwich is always better, but in a pinch the frozen works too.

Honestly from a personal stand point we have limited time as a family right now and the time spent meal prepping takes away from that. We had to factor that in and realized we would just prefer to spend time as a family- and buy premade. It’s the season of life we are in. Depends on each person!

I just want to point out, that while the ingredient breakdown is great, one thing you didn't consider in your homemade cost, is the cost of non food items...ie foil, plastic wrap or bags. I agree with your husband though, homemade almost always tastes better!

My kids LOVE when I make these in a HUGE freezer batch...
The BEST way to cook them up from the freezer, is to pop them in the fridge the night before and then heat them up in the oven for like 3 mins.

i appreciate how in depth you go in terms of price vs flavor etc, esp when Dave came on. I feel like a lot of YTers would have just said it all and ended, but you always go the extra little bit to help the viewer understand / get good info. Thank you
