as a photographer another great way to mount a level is with a magic arm, named brand would be manfrotto, essentially two ball heads on 30cm ish arms with a locking wheel at the elbow of those two arms, coupled with a magic clamp the can clamp onto virtually anything, flat or round.
the magic clamps have a round / flat clamp and all the screw threads too, same size as a common tripod
usually used for mounting lighting/flagging equipment

I clamp the laser level an old shower curtain rail that is adjustable with spring tension; sometimes with a stool underneath if the ceiling is high. Original cost ~£10 with curtain.

First attachment is a must! Am considering one of these and your video was exactly what i was looking for.

Interesting video, thanks. The choice of laser levels is really bewildering. I've realised I could really do with one for hanging things on walls but I'm thinking of getting the Bosch Altimo for now, and then when I have a project that needs a 360 degree level I'll get something proper, maybe even the Bosch Pro 18v one as I'm already in that battery system - it's just eye-wateringly expensive!!

So the best requirements...
1. 360 degrees
2. Self charging
3. Adjustable levels
4. Magnetic
5. Green light
6. 3 light system
Anymore let me know

Great review, thanks. I wouldn't point a lazer at your camera though, strongest ones can burn the sensor.

For the pole accessory I used a telescopic wardrobe pole. You can pick them up for £10.

Great no-nonsense video! How far would you say the 360 laser is visible in daylight? I need one for framing a difficult roof, do you think it will manage a 4m radius? 😊

Good vid. I didn’t know about that pole, I’ll definitely be getting one of those at some point.

Bit of painters tape on the magnet should solve the problem of scratching the paint when sliding it against the wall

Interesting - I've not seen one of those 360° levels without a third laser at 90° to the other two. It looks like it's been blanked off on the one you used in the video.

Also, you're right about going straight to the 360° level. I bought a fairly expensive one like your second option and have been regretting it since - it was a false economy.

Does the pendulum lock push the pendulum off its reference position on a flat surface. I have a Detroit Pendulum Cross Line Laser I purchased second hand, so not sure if this normal. I wanted the cross line to lock at 90 deg to flat surface of unit so I can project from a surface on an angle.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to wear some level of safety glasses when using lasers to protect your eyesight no?

is there any way to measure the height of those devices, i mean one extra beam to calculate distance from ground.

Intrigued to know if a regular camera tripod would suffice for most of the use cases? Agree that pole stand is better though

I need a laser level for a straight line along the ground.. because sometimes the ground is too wet for a chalk line. How far can the laser be seen for?
