VLADIMIR Putin has warned the West it will face "untold consequences" if challenged as he launched the long-feared invasion in Ukraine.

The Russian President also vowed to "demilitarize" and "de-Nazify" Ukraine in a sinister televised speech.

Putin stated that "modern Russia, even after the collapse of the USSR and the loss of a significant part of its nuclear potential, is today one of the most powerful nuclear powers."

And in a chilling warning to the West he added: "To anyone who would consider interfering from outside: If you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history."

I am disappointed with myself that I gave Russia the benefit of the doubt but this is such an unusual incident in Europe that anything could happen from here.

Vladimir Putin visit a primary school one day and he gives a lecture about how great the government is and how Russia is the best country in the world.
At the end of the lecture he invites people to ask questions and one kid stands up and says
“Hello my name is Sasha and I have two questions”
Putin: “go ahead”
Sasha: “Why did Russia sent troops to Ukraine and why did Russia annex Crimea? ”
At that moment the bell rang and everyone went to lunch.
At the end of lunch the Q&A continued and another kid stood up
“My name is boris and I have four questions”
Putin: “Yes?”
Boris: “Why did Russia sent troops to Ukraine, why did Russia annex Crimea, why was the bell 20 minutes early and where is Sasha?

Hopefully Putin is wise enough in the long term to remember how history tends to play out and consider what has happened to other war mongering world leaders of the past, in the end.
