Theyre not sanctions, they’re “special economic operations”

Ah of course, everyone remembers the wonderful opportunities created for the population during the Great Depression.

This sounds to me like: "If you drive without drivers license and police catch you, they cant take drivers licenese from you because you dont have one"

When your boss fires you and you say "This firing is going to give me more free time".

He’s trying desperately to put a positive spin on a catastrophic situation. Pathetic.

It stood out that he suggested “banking opportunities” on the Peninsula.
Ah, who would want to invest in a currency that will soon have a negative value.
How about recycling? Lots of scrap Russian tanks and personnel carriers there for the taking.

A man without honor and a man without a soul. The sooner he’s gone, the world becomes a better place. Glory to Ukraine.

It's like a plea to the Russian civilians: "Trust me broskis." When everything is not going according to plan.

Hahaha when he talked about how large businesses used to be afraid of sanctions, now they don't have anything to fear, he is basically saying 'when you were alive, you were afraid of dying. Now you're dead, you have nothing to fear! Go forth my ghosts!'

Businesses don't wanna enter Crimea because the risk of sanctions that would make the business climate horrible. Now that the sanctions are in place and the business climate sucks, Putin thinks they're gonna come flocking simply because it can't get any worse..? Hahaha, get a load of this guy. He's basically just making up his own reality.

This old man is surprisingly optimistic even in the face of sanctions. Oh wait, he fired all his staff because he's afraid someone might poison him lol
