What can cause feeling of pulsations all over body? - Dr. Sanjay Gupta

We have to look at more detail about the word pulsations because pulsations can be interpreted in many different ways and once we know the pulsations are there throbbing pulse what we generally have or the palpitations that start from the chest, or it can be interpreted and tingling or numbness across the body. So these have different interpretations. When you look at the word pulsations. But when you look at the age of the person it can differ in diagnosis. So a younger patient with so called pulsations, can be just anxiety or an elderly individual with pulsations can be an indication of cardiovascular disease whether there is a heart rate which is very high or whenever there is tachycardia or a palpitation that is related to ischemic heart disease. So this is a word we have to be very careful as this carries different interpretations in different ages.

Been having these symptoms for months now! This strong pulse which moves my fingers, chest, stomach and i can feel it in my neck and head and also hear it if my ears are pressed against my pillow. My EKG, Echo, Stress test and heart monitor i've worn for 3 weeks are all normal. DR just told me its normal and people have it sometimes ... this is not normal, i can barely function it's annoying🤦🏽‍♀️

I have read almost all the comments that have come on the video and the special thing is that all the comments are matching with my symptoms. I used to think that I am the only one with this problem in the world, but when I read people's comments, I knew. It turns out that I am not alone, I am 21 now and I have been having this problem since I was about 20 years old. Symptoms:
1 Whenever I sleep on the bed, I feel that my whole body is beating like my heart is beating. Especially in the neck, back of the head, back, and stomach which I can also see.
2: And when I sit on a chair and put one leg over the other, my leg shakes. Even when I use the phone, I see that my hand is also shaking. When I told the same thing to the doctor, he said that all this is normal and you should not pay attention to it,
but how can I explain to him😭
that this is not normal because of this I cannot even read properly

Feeling same thing since last 2 months, it started out of no where. I've been feeling palpitations everywhere in my body - my limbs, throat, stomach, temple region under the head. I'm a student so it feels so uncomfortable to calm down and can't study due to this.
Visited multiple doctors and cardiologist, been through various different tests but every single test came normal and every single doctor ruled it out as anxiety/stress. Im atleast content that tests are normal but still this feeling of palpitations won't go away and it's exhausting which further is limiting my life.

I’m 21 years old girl.For 7 months my heart beat shakes all of my body. Even my head shakes with my heart beat. I went to cardiologist they done every test but they said there’s nothing wrong with my heart.they gave me propranolol I’ve been taking it regularly everyday but I’m still feeling same my body still shaking with my heartbeat I can’t even sleeping at night because of this its really so annoying. The past 3 im having this position throughout my body, mainly the legs, but also back and other places I went to the ER they did a EKG. My heartbeat is always fine. I have an appointment to see the cardiologist next week. I’m seeing some people say they have this way before the VAX. So now I’m not sure. I've had a pulsating/throbbing/movements feeling in my back for over 10 years. It mainly in the area where my heart is but in my back. I get it 24/7 continually. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it travels all over my back, recently making me feel off balance. Its sets off papaltions, it's makes my heart miss a beat, its given me tight muscles in my back. Doesn't show up on ECG and my heart is healthy. Had loads of tests Dr's haven't a clue what it is. It really getting me down. I've not yet been referred to a cardiologist yet. Im 12/yrs old, i suffer from health anxiety and exessive worries and awarness on my heart. I just noticed that ive been feeling pulsating sensations everywhere on my body. The back of my head was probably the worst spot where i feel it because everyday when i lay down i feel like my head was beating along with my heartbeat. The pulse feels like mixed with a vibrating and tremors sensations, its really unexplainable but ive already checked my blood pressure and heartrate but it shows a normal reading (116-71 mmgH- 75-90 BPM) so i wanna know if anxiety had something to do with this?

I came back from Newcastle to Perth, got sick, lost 15kg in weight thought I was gonna die a few times but started getting better and now I feel the heart beat in my stomach, I also have higher heart rate than in use too :/ it's really annoying although during the day most I don't notice it but at night omg it's the most annoying thing feeling your stomach pulse like your having an aneurysm sp getting to sleep it's time consuming.
I did notice tho if I tighten my stomach it stops so im gonna try doing abdominal exercises exert second day and get back into cardio on the cross trainer

Sometime i can feel the heart beat and blood flow from the heart. It happens in a few beats then its gone. No matter how much i try to feel it again i couldn't. Its random only when laying down. Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't. Weird, i dont care feeling about my heart beat its normal but feeling the bool flow is kind of worrying. 5mins ago i felt it in one pulse. Now im back to normal. Oh i was also diagnosed with gerd. Is it somehow connect to that?

I have the same thing, my heart palpitations started in Feb. They did a chest exam and ekg and said my heard was healthy. Im now having a strong pulse throughout my whole body, I could not even sleep well last night. I felt pressure in my head. I csn literally feel.my pulse everywhere. In my neck, my temple's, my arms, legs, inner thighs. Thumbs. Its crazy. I think it has somthing to do with nerves. And we arw stressing over it, causing our anxiety. Doctors suck, they do nothing but try to give you medication when they dont know what the problem really is. I need a real doctor who will help me snd work with me

I have every symptom everybody said they have from pulsating everywhere to having pain in my chest too having multiple panic attacks been to the emergency room over 8 times just to find out I’m not having a heart attack or stroke they tell me I’m as healthy as a OX. I was recently shot in the head by 9MM well it graze my skull and knock off chunks of meat off my head after that I did 7 months in jail thought I was facing 10 years in prison so I started feeling depress end up doing 7 months and sign for probation got out had breathing problems I guess from stress while I was in jail for 7 months they tested me for diabetes and high blood pressure while I was in there. Everything was good, so I got out I’ve now been out going on 2 months then my mom dies at 44 yrs old I get even more depressed and have multiple panic attacks to were I’m feeling like I’m having a stroke or a heart attack I go to the emergency room 5 times before i find out my blood pressure was 168/ 98 but had a regular heart beat so they say I have hypertension blood pressure which is cause from stress and anxiety and bad eating habits so they started me on “amlodpine” for my high blood pressure it works getting my blood pressure down tremendously but I still feel pulsating everywhere I have heart palpitations still which they say comes from high blood pressure. I steady look on google but all google does is make me worry more and the fact my mom died and I know she had high blood pressure scares the shit out of me I feel like I’m next but I workout at gym I do remodeling work and construction work so I’m always active I just don’t understand I pray to god to clear anxiety from heart but it’s still here.
