I don;t know if these were a thing in other countries, but years ago small children here were quite often fitted with a light weight chest harness with a leash that parents held onto. These days people would be accused of child abuse if they put that kind of thing on a toddler, but it certainly kept children from running off everywhere and getting lost or stolen. They were called reins. I have an old photo of my nephew wearing them. I suppose it's kind of like taking your dog for walkies, only it's a child.🤣

I love me a day out at Ikea, plenty for the kids to play and explore, and the hotdogs and ice cream cones are cheap, as well as unlimited drinks it's a perfect day on a budget 👍

My Brother and sister-in-law tramped over on Victoria way, on Vancouver Island. They said Victoria is wonderful and William should love the ferry trip. You might need to chain him down though.

I've only been to IKEA once just to grab a bite to eat, I stumbled out half an hour later, completely disorientated and with no food. I don't know what happened but it seems designed to get you lost among a bunch of household items that I have zero interest in looking at or even buying. Never again...

The best donuts in Vancouver are Cartems and a close second is Parallel 49. I’m not a big fan of Tim Hortons
