If during a match the referee takes a bump - whether accidental or otherwise - and goes down, they'll stay groggy and dazed for a short while afterwards. This results in them slow counting any pin attempt that's made and could cost you an important win!

So, while it's tempting to take the referee down in a match for fun, just make sure you don't do it before you try to make an important pinfall because it might just backfire on you!

I wish it looked more like they are hurt and actually count slow. Rather than screwing you over by simply holding their hand up. Like they should bring their hand down at a slow pace not just hold it there then count like normal

I like this game, but i hate that u could be whooping someone for 30 mins straight, then they counter once, do a finisher and count you out😂

Bro, i always attack the ref because they're annoying! There's been times that i throw my opponent towards the turnbuckle, but they're immediately stopped because the ref runs right infront of them, which causes them to turn around and begin kicking my butt! Then there's been times where i go to dive out the ring and onto my opponent, and the referee turns around and grabs my wrestler, so I'm always just destroying the ref!

In 2k24 there should be a Injured Referee animation so they really look like they are struggling to count the attempt.
