I think your major point here is absolutely true and relatable in my case.
2018 was my graduation year, I was a senior then. School was incredibly laid back and my social needs were met. Fortnite was super fun when you played with the bros during Season 3 when the game really took off.
Pop culture was amazing in '18 too, Avengers Infinity War was another hype moment for that year at that time plus the Thanos mode we got to see in-game was amazing.

Honestly for me, becoming a fortnite youtuber has actually made fortnite more enjoyable for me. Sometimes i'll just spend hours running around the island trying to solve some new mystery for a video. I feel like every time I find a new mystery I wanna solve about the game, I feel like I understand the fortnite world better. I think this is the reason I'm still playing Fortnite after seven years.

Awesome video Pbj! As an OG who played Fortnite since Chapter 1 and was all for the memes, it really did hit different. My friends and I would always do funny challenges, role plays, and just overall sweat and have fun. Even though my friends and I still play, it just doesn’t have the same vibe. Most of us play comp/ranked. It is fun, it’s just not as innocent as it once was. Sure we still meme around and do dumb challenges, (such as banana army, pickaxe only, and other fun stuff) but it’s just not the same. Thanks for the video. It really brought me back to the simpler days. ❤

The main problem for me is none of my friends are online anymore and it’s very hard to convince them. My favorite thing was playing squads with my friends in chapter 2 and we would have a blast playing until 2 am on the weekends and in the summer. Now they don’t get on that often so it makes it hard to really enjoy fortnite the past 2 seasons

Watching this made me sad man, I miss actually being able to have fun by enjoying the game. You didn’t need to be a sweaty players or have annoying cars, mythics or overpowered weapons to win, it took real and pure skill back then. I’ll always miss this perfect version of Fortnite

One other thing is to never check the update logs. That way, you can find a new gun, mythic, npc, list goes on. You’ll always have that feeling where you don’t know anything, which would make the game more exciting and fun.

You can enjoy Fortnite by playing Reload, playing with friends and family, doing challenges not the challenges for XP and rewards but challenges like whatever loot you get from your first chest is the only loot you can use for the rest of the game, and just play for fun see you can play Fortnite for fun you don't have to be competitive play Fortnite how you enjoy it for casuals like me use what you enjoy this season being the cars and Nitro Fists, for people that enjoy the simplicity of the game and enjoyed ch1 also like me play Reload, and for competitive players play competitively

The mindset isnt it either i went into chapter 5 thinking epic learned from OG and just the recent chapters and how bad they where performing but it just wasnt fun
