A little bit of history behind Angel Flights:
If you did not figure out via pictures already, Angel Flights are the U.S. Air Force planes (C-130's) used to fly home our Fallen Soldiers. Angel Flight is also their call sign. In addition, Angel Flights have top priority in U.S. Airspace - as you saw the Towers say "number 1 for landing/takeoff" .... now of course, I know, there are other flights that have an even higher priority ... but in reference to other standard military flights, Angel Flights get number 1 priority.

"Heroes" - another term frequently used in the video is the term used to describe our Fallen Soldiers.

Here are some links to the actual Angel Flight vidoes:

And, also a GREAT BIG thanks to Radney Foster for one of the most inspirational songs to me!!

I watched the new version today for the first time. It captures so much of the ceremony at Dover when they brought my son's body home from Iraq. It will be one year ago -- next week. Thank you for helping others see the honor and dignity that our military bestows upon their fallen comrades. We have the best military in this world....and all the men and women who serve deserve thanks for their service to this country. God bless them all!

Tears. My uncle in WWII was shot down in the Pacific after his B-24 Liberator strafed a Japanese airstrip on the isolated atoll of Marcus Island. My uncle, 22, was co-pilot. All were lost and no one got to come home. My grandparents were informed on their wedding anniversary. So Memorial Day is a reverent day for me and this strikes deep. I think he would have been a really fun uncle. Thank you for this.

I have watched this video many times.  I have to stop and rewind it because I am crying so hard.  Thank God for those men and women that gave their all and thank you for bringing them home on the wings of Angels.  I spent 6 years in the best Navy in this world.  I am honored to have served and humbled by this video.  Thank you for sharing and demonstrating why "for those tears I died".

Made me so emotional and proud of these men that keep us safe. I may be Canadian but we are all brothers. Thank you for serving your country. My Dad and Grand dad served in the first and second world war but luckily they came home, injured but they did come home to us thankfully.

Linda I am so sorry to hear this. He is in my prayers; rest assured - he is in a better place now. And we owe it to them to live our lives, exactly how they would have wanted us to. Please accept my sincere condolences & sympathy.

God Bless,
Justin

This is one duty I don't think I would have been able to do. Which is why I kept turning down the many offers to join the Honor Guard. Takes a certain amount of mental strength to pull this detail. Thank you to all those who did, and still do this detail.

Thinking of all our fallen heroes & those left behind...Terry & I found this video yesterday. We're long time fans of Darden Smith (co-writer/singer on this video)...and pretty much fell in love with this one.  Hope you do, too.

Bawled my eyes out on this tribute - our military, my heroes - the 1 % - that selflessly serve and die for the benefit of others. My grandfather was a WWII fighter pilot, my father, a Vietnam Vet, my 2 ex-husband Iraq Combat Veterans, as well as my best friend who served in Guam. I honor all who read this and have served whether stateside or in theater. You are the best of the best and I will always honor/salute you until my last breath. Adrienne

Ahh!! Did not know what the precise Tower name was - I asked someone from another video - and they said "Carson Tower" -- but thanks for correction!

Also, thank you for your Service Colonel! It is because of the wonderful Men & Women like you that make all of this possible!

God Bless & Stay Safe!

Lost my Dad while he was on a mission on March 16 1962. I was the youngest of 6 and 13 months old. Still today I think about how life would have been if My Dad was with us. I love him and miss him everyday. God bless the 93 MIA Hero’s on Tiger flight 739.
