I do the same thing into wind but I’ve never thought of using it when I’m under pressure

This might not be good for a lot of people hitting into the wind. I do the same thing when hitting a little squeeze fade but when hitting into the wind ideally you want less spin & hitting it low on the face will generally shoot the spin up. Teeing it closer to normal hight or even slightly higher, swing easier & catching ball slightly above center when hitting into the wind works much better because the spin drops way down. Hitting it off the bottom will tend to ballon up in the air more. I used to think teeing it low was the play into the wind too but actually got the teeing it higher, swing more up & easier at it from Adam Scott when talking about how he hits different shots into the wind at the Deutsche bank many years ago. It’s seems so obvious now especially with the invention of the launch monitor we know more precisely how different strikes, paths, attack angles, etc. effect the flight via “the new laws of ball flight”. I’m not saying he’s wrong for doing it this way, if he find the fairways still good on him but you’re definitely giving up even more distance with this method & there’s a more efficient way. Also into the wind teeing it super low with driver I think a lot of people will find it gives them a more out to in path, steeper attack angle & they’re hitting a lot of weak slices into the wind vs a ball flight that penetrates through the wind and tends to go very straight if not draws with Adam Scott’s method. The launch will be a touch higher with a higher tee but lower spin which will be effected less by the wind. Lower tee, lower launch but with more spin that drags harder against the wind and any shit shape will be amplified. Either method works but don’t automatically assume teeing low is better into the wind.
