I’d love to see more in-depth videos that get into different lies and types of chip shots. Also what lofts you would recommend for different types of shots.

The sweep/bounce concept was a game changer. Chipping is about the only thing I have confidence in now. Would like to see a video on ball striking especially with 7-9 & P irons including common pitfalls and their solutions (low hard slice, chunking, weak distance)

Single digit handicap Canadian here. Great video man, I've been thinking about chipping a lot lately...
After playing for 20+ years I think chipping may be one of the hardest parts of golf for new players. You can accidently hit good shots and even fluke putts in, but it's pretty dang hard to fake a chip shot. Especially if you have to put some air under it.

Growing up in Canada I was lucky my Dad let me cut a makeshift green in the backyard. Couldn't putt on it but great for chipping. I can't say how many but I probably hit tens of thousands of chips over a few years. Chipping and pitching is the best part of my game now surprise surprise.

Here's a tip for newer golfers. If you want to really lower your scores learn to chip and putt better.

Get them reps in!

Cheers

Hi Grant, since driving ranges don't simulate uphill and downhill lies can you make a video on where the ball needs to be in the stance, how your aim point changes, clubbing up/down, and overall on the course tips since its near impossible to practice? Keep up the great content and even better golf!

I wanted to personally thank you for putting out this video! I am a perpetual 16-17 handicapper that has struggled with chipping/pitching for years. I took this advice to the range and the course and today, for the first time EVER, shot even par over 9 holes. I am still having trouble processing this. TBH, I figured out a couple of things with my driver as well, but the chipping/pitching has seen by far the largest improvement. Single digits, here I come! Thanks again.

For the more advanced players - it would be interesting to hear about how to THINK properly on the course. How to bounce back after a bad hole/round.

Great video Grant. Some of the things that I would like to see are:
1) Full swing and how to move away from the ball and not sway
2) Compare the modern versus traditional bunker techniques
3) Setup and alignment with ball position for driver versus irons
4) Tee height for fairway finder
5) Putting philosophy, being a feel player versus mechanical
6) How to hit irons high, low, fade or draw
7) Course management, how to score and think around the course

Great video. I’ve actually gotten a lot better around the greens because of your videos on your channel and the Good Good extras you used to do. One important point in chipping is that you have to have confidence in yourself to pull off the shot. I keep telling myself that I am good around the greens no matter how bad I am doing:setting myself up for success not failure.

Your demeanor and knowledge make you an ideal teacher. I'm impressed with your presentation. Big muscles and a sweeping motion are the keys to chipping. Keep it simple!

How about an episode on the adjustments senior golfers should make to enhance their golfing experience?

This one is super helpful! Bunker shots and aggressive up & downhill lies would be amazing

Jees Grant - after a 15 year break of golf (I am in my late 40s) I picked up some clubs again. Struck them decently but my short game was atrocious.
Watching this video before my round today saved me.... at least 5-6 shots! Great stuff, ty!

on a personal note... I do miss your ever so positive energy on gg.... but it's also cool to see how your channel grows. all the best Grant!

It’s the little things that make you so great, Grant! Like at 0:45 your shoe has “GOAT” on the bottom, but I don’t think it was coincidence that you blurred it out…humble and helpful! I appreciate your videos man

Hi Grant. Would love some help with wrist setting in the back swing to help get pure/solid strikes. Tendency is having a "cupped" lead wrist rather than it being straight or bowed.

Great video here, can't wait to practice this. Look forward to your next one!

2 tips I would love to hear about would be grip pressure and lag. Also how do I stop flipping wrist at impact. Love the videos!!

I like his approach to chipping. Every teacher has their strengths. This guy gave Phil a lesson on the course as well. Good on him!
