I did your takeaway trick today at the golf course - pushing the club back along the ground - and I was absolutely crushing the ball dead straight. No huge draw or hooks. It was crazy awesome!!!

For anyone wondering how to do this, it’s all in making those hands soft. Look at where grant finishes in the swing and the point of impact with the ball. Focus on what the wrists do from point of impact to swing finish. The radial rotation is what you want to emulate, helps pop the ball up and keep that tempo smooth on these short shots. Without that radial rotation of the wrists you’d need to swing a lot harder to get that height on the ball which introduces more margins for error.

I have a tendency to pull my club down like that when I feel like I hit a bad shot.. usually it's better than I'm thinking, I only do that when I'm practicing though
