A brief collection of 10 locomotives hammering along the rails of the national network, taken at various locations in 2019-2021.

The annual railtour programme that us enthusiasts are treated to, always provides some highlights for steam performance over each year; and for many, there is no substitute for the sights and sounds of a steam locomotive at speed. Captured on a range of railtours, in varied regions, the cameras have caught a small variety of locomotives living up to the image, as they've sped around at the helm of some excursions over the years.

As always, it's a testament to all the staff and volunteers who maintain these locomotives, and organise and operate these tours, that we are still able to enjoy these things in the 21st century.

A finer selection you'd be hard put to find (or will Part 2 proove me wrong🤔!!) A good old reminisce of some good times brought to us by a dedicated crew of owners, staff and volunteers . . . not forgetting your good self Matt for bringing them to our armchairs👍🏻👍🏻👏👏
