I noticed that in 1.34 alliences with big boys when you're a small boi have become extremely fragile. Before you could get an alliance with Ottos as AQ or QQ(if you convert to sunni or have buffer vassals) or Hisn Kayfa and could more or less keep it for as long as needed with little effort. Now they will get -200 on anyone who has even a single province near that as soon as they do their eat Beyliks mission. Austria will betray you for Silesia. Muscovy for Neva.

In my game as Persia I was allied to the Ottomans and we fought QQ together. They had one QQ's province set as a province of interest, so I gave it to them in a peace deal. A couple of days passed and they broke the alliance with me because they set new provinces of interest that were in my territory.

I reloaded the game and they kept the alliance when I didn't give them anything. Typical AI logic. Now I just had to make sure to attack QQ every time the truce ended and keep them alive with that one province of Ottoman interest until I was ready to fight the Turks :P
