Lost 70 lbs, work out hard for one hour daily six days a week. No playing with a mobile phone. Get in, go hard, go home. 62 years old. Can still go 14mph on a treadmill for 30 secs. In the here and now, in better shape than most 31 year olds. I know time and age gets us all but for now being fit is great.

Great stuff, Thomas! I'm 64 and have been watching your videos for over 3 years. I'm on a Keto and Intermittent fasting lifestyle with 3-4 days of resistance training and it's the best I've ever felt in my life. Thanks for sharing your incredible knowledge and your super informative videos. 🙏🏽😊

Great info……. May I add this.
Swim. Swim. Swim. Any age.
I’m 72, male.
I rarely miss a 2K swim daily.
Open water. Don’t cry. I live on Maui. 💨🌊🏊🏾‍♂️
Great workout. A mentally settling 41 minutes in the warm tropical water.
Low impact, high pleasure.
I live life gratefully 😎

I'm 44 and what works well for me is to do high intensity heavy duty weight training, and then to not go to the gym at all for 4 or 5 days, and then do my next session. The recovery time has resulted in my best ever physical condition and best ever strength gains.

At 45, Getting in the gym 3 to 4 days a week is great but I miss being able to handle five or six days of weight training. Since I have remained natural I can’t really recover from that workload like I used to. My workouts are much more focused now with better mind muscle connection than when I was younger but I have to be very aware and honest about the total workload 💫🏆

I used to have a fairly similar physique to Mr. DeLauer at his age. I love to exercise. Now I'm pushing 60 and everything is a struggle. I did notice that when I spend time in parts of the world that have far less endocrine disruptive chemicals in the environment, it made a big difference in workout recovery and testosterone levels.

Working out more often but for shorter sessions is actually more beneficial! One sure fire way of feeling tired and sore is to workout too hard/long and less frequently!

This is a SEMINAL video in the Thomas DeLauer chronicles of health and nutrition.
The way that you worked your points together and ended with a clear, succinct, and actionable summary is beautiful!
Keep it up, and I will keep sharing and evangelizing you and your Channel. Thank you!

I am getting up there in age well into my 60s. I don’t know why I’ve been expecting so much I don’t like workout much but I am always moving. Time goes by very fast. Meanwhile, life is good. 70 pounds loss on Keto. Thank you, Thomas!

Thank you! OMG, I have been really struggling with being sore and really off kilter after workouts. It has been really challenging. This is so validating and informative. Much appreciated!

I’m watching this in my at home sauna while drinking LMNT after my workout at the end of a 40 hour fast. I’m 54 and it takes longer to recover. The benefit of being older is I can finally afford a few fun toys like my infrared sauna. 😅😊

I will say I recover a lot faster from my workouts now that I longer fast regularly. My joints feel amazing now, too!

Thanks for more great advice!
