“Almost everyone sent it to me”

I’m sorry Steve I didn’t sent it to you 😔

This might be the most viral video ever. I've never seen a vid spread so fast to so many platforms. His stupidity will be on display for all to see on YouTube, FOREVER!

I had expired tags, unpaid tickets, and a suspended license, and got pulled over twice in one day when I was a kid (30+ years ago). I had to clear all of my tickets and registration to get my license back ... to do that I had to go to 4 government offices and 2 courts in 3 different cities. I spent 3 hours in one day driving and taking care of all of it. The last one I was in court with a hanging judge ... he asked me item by item if I'd taken care of each one, I was able to say yes to each one, the bailiff got the receipts for each one for the judge. On his last question he asked about my registration and I said "It's in my car, I can go get it" not realizing until I said it that I just admitted in court that I had driven there that day. The Judge, I hope after having heard that I had taken care of the other 15 items on the list, took sympathy on me, charged me a court fee and cleared the last item on my record and I got my license re-activated.

My favorite part of that day was walking up to a closed clerk window in a courthouse thinking I was going to find out which court I was to go to when the window opened I was face to face with the judge in robes and all. To this day that was still my favorite court visit. Traffic court 1 on 1 face to face with the judge.

My uncle got popped for driving at 15, sentenced to be unable to get license until 18. He drove home from court, drove carefully until he moved from Mass to Georgia and got a Georgia license...at 42.

The disappointment in his public defender's voice after the judge's ruling is palpable. "Mr. Heris, I'll be calling you later."
"Okay"

I worked with a guy who went to his DUI court appearance drunk and parked his unregistered, uninsured, unplated truck right out front of the courthouse.
He also had a suspended license for prior DUIs.
That day did not go good for him.

if you have a suspended license, park at least several blocks away. A half mile or more is even better. Use free parking too so there is no paper trail.

That Judge is the Bomb. He is fair and doesn't put up with any BS.
His no nonsense style is a breath of fresh air. I would bet my life he is loyal to his employees and has a wry sense of humor in private.

I saw that video, the look on the defendant's face with the order was amazing. Reality hit hard.

In Florida, if you have your license suspended, you can still get a permit that allows you to drive to and from work only. I think there are restricted circumstances for it. For example, it can't be for DUI.

You can actually see the moment where his expression changed and you could insert the "It was at this moment: he knew; he effed up" meme into the video.

The fact they use DL suspensions to enforce child support orders is the real problem. Punishment seems more important than getting the support paid

Judges Middleton and Simpson are my top two favorite judges. The video of this doofus getting caught driving while suspended by Simpson was hysterical. Simpson's facial expressions were amazing.

I did that once, license was suspended and had court for it that morning then work (doing interstate highway construction) I was set to be reinstated that morning. I parked next to a nice older man that turned out to be the judge, 6 months loss of driving privileges and had to pay reinstatement fees twice once before court to be reinstated and 6 months later for the same reasons. I had to drive to work 10 miles away, I felt I had no choice, lost job, apartment and car (judge ordered a weekend in jail impound of my car and 6 months suspended license) lesson learned.

The lawyer, laughing at her client, was spectacular!
So was Judge Simpson!

In NH driving without a license used to be a $50 fine. It cost $500 to get a license. People just rolled the dice. Woman was in court for 8th time. She was 50 years old. Explained to judge she was still ahead. She never had gotten her license, got busted every 8-10 years.

I was once watching Judge Kim's juvenile court during the covid times. One day some mom thought it would be a good idea to change her shirt right in front of the camera. It was before the Judge entered the court but he found out and held her in contempt.

Steve you're exactly right I appreciate this. People are simply choosing the fines and the days in jail versus getting the license back! Lawyers fees are up! Fines are up! People are simply choosing to probably eat, since we have to first survive in order to get on the road legally
