A viral video showed Corey Harris driving when he logged in for a virtual court hearing. The Michigan judge thought Harris' license was suspended, but it was actually reinstated in 2022. Court records prove it, but the change couldn't be seen in his file because of a clerical error. Harris spent two nights in jail.

Each weekday morning, "CBS Mornings" co-hosts Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson bring you the latest breaking news, smart conversation and in-depth feature reporting. "CBS Mornings" airs weekdays at 7 a.m. on CBS and stream it at 8 a.m. ET on the CBS News app.

Actually he never had a license. They reinstated his ability to get a license but he never did. This didn't age well...

Update. After further research, there was NEVER a clerical error. Turns out that the judge was correct the entire time. He never had a license.

He never had a license and he still doesn't have a license in any state. He lied to everyone.

CBS: Perhaps you could be more thorough in your research before running a story.

He never had a license to be reinstated, his ability to get a license was reinstated, there's new court video of him, he's never ever had a license. So all this oh he was unjustly arrested is nonsense.

You need to update your update. It turns out he NEVER had a license, in ANY state. He’s back in jail on a warrant in another county for a warrant due to, get this, driving on a suspended license. He’s now been caught in lie after lie.

@CBSMornings there was another twist to this story... The guy NEVER had a valid driving license. So NO... HE WASN'T RIGHT!

Here's a new update: The man never had a drivers license, and he was arrested today and is currently in prison. Even his defense attorney is stunned to learn he never had a drivers license and appeared frustrated to learn this about him in the courtroom.

NOT TRUE! HE NEVER HAD A DL. HE IS DUE BACK IN COURT ON 8/7. IT WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR JULY, HOWEVER HIS ATTORNEY IS @ TRIAL. THEY ALSO FOUND OUT IN COURT THAT HE HAD A WARRANT OUT ON HIM.

Why, before doing this segment did CBS not get a reporter to find that he NEVER had a license. This makes what was once a great news oulook look ridiculous.

Embarrassing that you haven’t issued correction.

Except the court case shows he never had a license. Watch Old Squishy Gardner's video of court. The judge was upset that he lied.

Why would he be driving during the Zoom meeting? Suspended license or not, you're just opening yourself up to more scrutiny. This would've been a non issue if he was at least outside the car prior to the call

So the guy spend two days in jail due to an error. So basically because a state employee made a mistake someone was robbed of his freedom. This is actually pretty scandalous and should not happen.

Thanks for the retraction.

Even though you already embarrassed the poor dude! Turns out he's NEVER even had a driver's license to begin with!! Never mind!!😮

This is the only platform I've seen that came back with a follow up video. And I bet the comments will A LOT less here because people gravitate to trash. The comments in the other platforms were more "code speak" than anything else
