I had a brother that taught an alley cat to walk across a mop handle and jump through hoops he held on the mop handle. Chester would do a number of things like speak, sit, come and stay upon command. He said he could train cats just like he could train dogs, with food. They’ll do just about anything if they’re hungry. It just takes more time. Cats aren’t stupid. Just stubborn.

Hanks is such a brilliant actor and storyteller. My cat never got that untrainability memo though. I used clicker training and he turned into a menace milking tricks for treats all day😂

I can confirm... Every Dog i've had was a ball of energy that was attentive 24/7. Every Cat I had did whatever the fuck they wanted, when they wanted to... because they own the room. You may pay the rent but the Cat owns it all.

I rmb filming with a cat once. I'm the makeup artist for the project and boy, filming with a cat was a nightmare. We spent half a day tryin to get the cat in action. Little kitty was cute but also a little devil.

And there was a day were we had to do a reshoot, that was prolly the longest day ever.. half of it was just the cat and a few little scenes of a little girl. I was there, smoking my hours away 😂😂😂

My daughter trained her cat to sit, up, touch, and please, where he touches your hand for his treat.

There is an old Mission Impossible epidode where they train a cat to walk on a thin line they shoot across a room so that the cat can retrieve a diamond in a museum. I can't imagine how they filmed that in the 1960s!

I always say this when describing the difference between cats and dogs... Dogs play with your dirty laundry because they want your scent; CATS, wil sleep on your CLEAN clothes so you have THEIR scent

My cats are super cool. They come to me when I call, walk on a leash, ride in a car, they love people.
