While I'm not usually a fan of post-apocalyptic movies, this one really stood out to me. It evoked echoes of 'I Am Legend' starring Will Smith and 'Cast Away' featuring Tom Hanks. Without giving too much away, my only critique is that I wish the filmmakers had chosen a different path than what 'Titanic' did with Jack Dawson and 'I Am Legend' did with Dr. Robert Neville.

Aww! I just accidentally stumbled on a clip of this movie on Tiktok that is why I decided to watch the movie. What could I expect? It's Tom Hanks, people. Come on! I like the whole movie. It's not just about the post-apocalyptic, but it also teaches us about fear, courage and companionship. 10 out of 10. One of the Sci-Fi movie that I liked the most.

At first I was disappointed in this movie at the end. I was waiting for Jeff to do what Finch intended it to do; protect Goodyear at all costs, in some grand fashion. That is after all why Finch created the Jeff. Then I realized the movie wasn't about the robot at all it was about Finch. Finch explains to Jeff that he was a coward because he allowed the woman and child to be murdered because he feared for his own life. Previously Finch explains to Jeff that in the moment of unpredictability what you do defines who you become. Sadly I think Finch went to his grave believing he was a coward. However Finch was everything but a coward. In his moment of unpredictability he chose to take Goodyear, nurture him and protect him; which during apocalyptic end times would be a huge venture. Finch wasn't a coward, he was a hero who courageously ventured across the country to protect Goodyear at all costs - even to the point of creating protection for Goodyear in the event of his own death. The choices Finch made did not define who he had become it only solidified who he already was - A selfless, deeply human man.

Just watched it today and boy was i unprepared for the emotional rollercoaster. beautifully cast and effects AMAZING!!!! Can't help but wonder though who the voice of Geoff was played by. Forgive me for guessing but sounded really familiar. If anyone has seen The outpost, the voice sounds remarkably similar to the actor Calib who played Carter. Please, correct me if i'm wrong.
