FreeBSD is a UNIX-like operating system for the i386, amd64, IA-64, arm, MIPS, powerpc, ppc64, PC-98 and UltraSPARC platforms based on U.C. Berkeley's "4.4BSD-Lite" release, with some "4.4BSD-Lite2" enhancements. It is also based indirectly on William Jolitz's port of U.C. Ctrl + l (that's lowercase 'L', not uppercase 'i') does the same as the "clear" command. Just in case you didn't know.

At 5:55 you mounted proc to /proc, why, what does that do, , that seems like a new additional step that you did not do in your earlier videos.

I tried to install FreeBSD with XFCE on an old eMachine desktop and when I rebooted, the PC froze with just a E on the screen (pushing the power button again and again didn't help), can someone help me with this? I even tried using F2 and F10 during bootup, nope! didn't work.
