How to Export Fusion Composition to Reuse in DaVinci Resolve

I hope you are doing well.

We mainly use the fusion page in DaVinci resolve to create effects and animations. It is quite time consuming doing such work. Therefore, it is ideal to reuse the effects or animations to save time. But the question is, how we are going to reuse the fusion composition.

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to export a fusion composition and reuse it.

Thanks bro, that's cool. I thought there MUST be a feature to add new fusion-templates to the tools. Maybe a feature-request for the future. But this is a nice workaround and will work for me.
In Davinci Resolve Studio 18.6.2 there is FILE->EXPORT->FUSION COMPOSITION from the upper menu bar.
When saved, create new project as taught in this video, select fusion-track, go to fusion page and import your new file with: FILE->IMPORT->FUSION COMPOSITION.

Looks like they removed the "save" from the context-menu in the Fusion-page. But the new method is even more convenient .

Cool. BUT. In my case I am working with a longer video. When I import the Fusion comp the animations come with the original frame numbers. In my case these were 20 min in the past. Lets's say I had made something on the frames 50-120 and now I want to use the same animation again starting from frame 6900. Is there a way to bring them all easily forward in time?

Thank you for the great guide. But I have a problem that when I use an image in the composition, this medium is not uploaded in the new project. I tried both save as and export comp. Do you have any solutions? Thx

It's definitely a workable way to reuse a comp, but I'm trying to figure out how I can reuse the comp directly from within Davinci Resolve in the fusion effects dropdown list.

Hello, great video. I just have one question, do you know why if I add an image and save the .settings file, when I do export these to a new project I have to add the images again since they doesn't show in the new project, am I doing something wrong maybe?

right, but what if i use media in my composition, how do i import it in another project without compromising it?

Is there a way to change the timeline resolution for maybe instagram posts ?
So that it doesn't scale weird ?
