This was helpful, thank you. But seems a bit more difficult than it needs to be for a couple of reasons. I should just be able to copy a fusion composition from one project to another. I tried that but the media goes offline and even if I bring the media in to my media pool, it doesn't work. In your example it seems that it maintains the link to the media. Can you confirm that this is correct or do I have to re-import the media? Also, I would hope the size of the fusion composition would be the same. Should I look at the length of the original composition and then adjust the new one to the same length before importing the comp?

*Thanks for this !* I was having a problem with this from watching some other tutorials, and *THIS ONE* is the one that _wasn't some guy talking and clicking_ *so annoyingly fast* etc... I could follow along with this....and *_viola_* ... the very first time I watched this I knew then and there what I'd been doing wrong. *Liked & Subbed !*

To those who get a black screen after importing, I haven't figured out why it does that, but I found a workaround: just import it directly into a video clip on the timeline and NOT into a separate Fusion comp. clip on top of the video clip, then it'll show how it should. If the animation is longer, then just make a compound clip and use that.

THIS WILL OVERWRITE THE CURRENT FUSION COMP, SO BE CAREFUL!

Thank for this but it doesn't work for me. When I import the fusion comp into a new project, it shows on the edit page as 'media offline'. What am I missing?

WARNING: if you're in a Fusion comp and do the import it will OVERWRITE your current comp, hopefully I have a backup

A fusion comp I made is blacking out my video? I made a free hand red circle (like a marker pen)
In the fusion tab, the two yellow markers on the timeline are all over the place? they won't stay set?
What are these markers in relation to saving a fusion comp?

I followed your instructions, Fusion Comp works but the video clips turn black, do you know why? If I first import the Fusion Comp and then add the video clip it works fine but if I import a second Fusion Comp again the video clips go black. I hope you can help me with this problem, thanks.

Excellent video, it's exactly what I was looking for regarding fusion comps, I am already a subscriber to your channel and look forward to your tutorials. I would like to make a suggestion to you regarding your videos, your audio (voice) is low compared to other videos in general, please bring up your master volume when you record. Your total volume should be in the yellow and slightly touch the red zone in the audio vu meter. Thanks and continue making vids.

I was given a bunch of .txt files that are supposedly Fusion Comps. How do I import those?

I have to laugh - I bought a laptop at Christmas, thinking the price of Ram would have dropped by now. I'd like to have a play with Davinci Resolve.
LOL, It would be nice to have a machine that was up to spec's 🤣
