In this I'm On Fire guitar lesson video, I will show you the guitar chords and picking patterns used in this Bruce Springsteen classic.

Released in 1985, "I'm On Fire" continued the string of hits coming off of Bruce Springsteen's Born In The U.S.A. album.

"I'm On Fire" has a delicate yet haunting quality throughout. This is created by an arpeggiated picking pattern that repeats. That pattern is used for the entire song over the various chord progressions. It creates sort of an hypnotic effect.

The chords Bruce Springsteen uses in "I'm On Fire" are pretty basic throughout. If you can play a simple major and minor bar chord you won't have much trouble.

There is one point in the song when the chord progression get a little ambiguous. I will mark the exact second that happens on the recording and take you through it chord by chord.
