Lyrics:

The road is long
And seeming without end
Days go on
I remember you my friend
And though you’re gone
And my heart’s been emptied it seems
I’ll see you in my dreams

I got your guitar
Here, by the bed
All your favorite records
And all the books that you read
And though my soul feels like it’s been split at the seams
I’ll see you in my dreams

I’ll see you in my dreams
When all our summers have come to an end
I’ll see you in my dreams
We’ll meet and live and laugh again
I’ll see you in my dreams
Up around the riverbend
For death is not the end
And I’ll see you in my dreams

I’ll see you in my dreams
When all our summers have come to an end
I’ll see you in my dreams
We’ll meet and live and laugh again
I’ll see you in my dreams
Yeah up around the riverbend
For death is not the end
And I’ll see you in my dreams
I’ll see you in my dreams
I’ll see you in my dreams

He ended his concert in Cardiff last night with this song, just Bruce and a guitar in the spotlight. I sat and thought about my late son. Thank you.❤

I lost my husband 11 months ago. It has been a difficult year for me and my sons as we navigate life without him. I got to see Bruce on Broadway just a few days ago and the theme of the show was people and places that he has lost along the way but how they still live on within him. The show closed with this beautiful song which moved me (and many others) to tears. This show and this song were another step in the ongoing healing process, so I thank you Bruce for sharing.

The only thing me and my father ever bonded over was Bruce.... he took me to see my first and only Bruce concert. My dad died in a tragic car wreck last year and this song truly hits home.

My sisters birthday passed away at the age of 56....we went together to a lot of Springsteen concerts....She never heard this song in real live. But I know she listens together with me today. ❤️

Last night in Rome the 90000 were silent for an acoustic version. Bruce encourages us to sing the refrain. Not a dry eye in the house. Magic

My partner died suddenly this year. I have his guitar and all the books that he read. He also loved this song ironically

OMG, Bruce just sang this at the 9/11 20th anniversary tribute. It was soft, quiet, very emotional and touching. It was PERFECT.
