I start crying when I listen to this song. It gives me such a nostalgic wistful sad, aching feeling. Like you’re longing for something you just can’t reach. It feels like you’re floating the moment it starts. There’s this aching feeling in your heart because you know everything you imagined in life will never happen. Like a 6 inch knife in the middle of your chest and skull. It captures yearning, desire, frustration, and deep sadness so well. I could listen to this song for hours.

It's fall 1984, a fresh breeze is blowing and you're cruising through Chicago at night in a Corvette. Life is good.

We all met someone that made us feel this way. Weather we got them or not. This song is a 2 minute masterpiece

Reminds me of my late Dad. He loved this song! I am 52 and feel like a 12 year old again hanging with my Dad. ❤❤

This is my favorite song of all time. When I'm up till 5am because I can't sleep, when I'm distraught from a panic attack, when I just need a moment of peace... This is where you can find me.

The 80s...the best decade...the best songs...the best movies...the best
school friends...the best saturday morning cartoons...the best time of
my life....I miss those times....my 80s heroes are dying....so sad....I
will never forget that decade...FOREVER IN MY HEART!!!!

I really love this song. It's so peaceful and slow, but not depressing slow, just nice and soft. Especially the ending. I want this song played at my funeral

The beat evokes time passing like a ticking clock, counting down the time to seeing your love again, or life ticking away without them 😢

LYRICS:
Hey little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go and leave you all alone? Mhmm
I got a bad desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire

Tell me now, baby, is he good to you?
And can he do to you the things that I do? Oh no
I can take you higher
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire

Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby
Edgy and dull and cut a six inch valley
Through the middle of my skull

At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire

Woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh
Woo-ooh-ooh

0:01 2:28 For anyone needing it

Edit: I put that so it is a button to quickly jump to the start of the video so you can have your screen on the button in case you want to quick restart the song.

I also put the end of it so if you put it on loop, you can press that button to instantly skip to the end, so you can watch the one ad, and then you won't get anymore ads after that.

Apparently people need that clarification

Back in 1985 when I was in San Diego in basic training for the Navy we heard this song on the radio and every time I hear it now I remember those days.

If you were too young for the 1980s then this song will help you imagine what my era was capable of.

The song's brief time increases the intensity of its feeling.
