I’m going to show you a simple home test you can do to help determine if you have a calcium deficiency.

Calcium is a mineral we need for our muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and the nervous system.

The most common cause of calcium deficiency is the body not absorbing calcium or utilizing it properly.

Symptoms of calcium deficiency:
• Anxiety
• Irritability
• Insomnia
• Muscle tension
• Spasms or cramps
• Low back pain
• Constipation
• High blood pressure
• Heart palpitations
• Frequent nose bleeds
• Soft fingernails
• Frequent cold sores
• Frequent sunburns (with limited sun exposure)
• Hives
• Frequent fevers
• Frequent hoarseness
• Chronic coughing
• Difficulty falling asleep

Many things can lower your absorption of calcium, including:
• Low vitamin D
• Low magnesium
• Low levels of hydrochloric acid in the stomach
• A deficiency of essential fatty acids
• Low estrogen
• Excessively alkaline blood
• Gut inflammation
• Hypothyroidism
• Low calcitonin

The best test for calcium deficiency (don’t do this test if you have peripheral vascular disease):
1. Wrap a standard blood pressure cuff around your calf
2. Pump it up and record the number showing when you start feeling a cramp, then stop and deflate
3. If the number is:
• 200 or less—suspect a calcium deficiency
• 200 to 220—you have sufficient calcium levels
• 220 to 240—you have optimal calcium levels
Don’t go above 240

Well. I watched this video, then used the blood pressure cuff on my calf and decided i must be severely calcium deficient (even though i eat plenty of food containing calcium). So i added calcium supplements on top of my regular diet. Then i watched Dr Berg's 'serious excess calcium side effects' video and decided i must be having 'too much' calcium. I've also watched Dr Berg's 'discovering the surprising benefits of iodine' and decided i needed more iodine in my diet (took kelp tabs). Then i watched Dr Berg's '#1 sign of iodine overload' and decided i was having way too much iodine in my diet (even though in the area i live, the tap water has been full of fluoride since 1964). This is how post menopausal women spend their lives, instead of just eating what they enjoy.

Calcium is a mineral most often associated with healthy bones and teeth, although it also plays an important role in blood clotting, helping muscles to contract, and regulating normal heart rhythms and nerve functions👍

I am really missing your whiteboard videos, Dr. Berg. I love to take screenshots of the board so I can have a record of your lesson of the day. I find your new videos to be a little depressing with the gloomy background. I still like you, though!

Fascinating. I assumed Calcium and Sodium are easy and common to obtain but Potassium and Magnesium are the two difficult minerals.

I'm very surprised that no mention was made of vitamin K2. I started taking 300mcg (MK7) in divided doses every day and a lot of these symptoms have improved. I don't get cramps in my hands like I used to (where my hands and fingers lock up) and the only thing I changed was the amount of K2 I was taking. I take a good magnesium supplement as well and I get 5, 000+ IUs of vitamin D3 every day. The only thing i really changed was the amount of K2 (MK7) i was taking - from 100 mcg to 300 in divided doses (100 in the morning and 200 more in the evening with my OMAD meal). I use the NOW Foods brand of vitamin K2 (derived from nattokinase).

They are rich in Vitamin A, B, C and B2. Curry leaves are also said to be good sources of iron and calcium. Because of this reason, curry leaves are used as part of folklore medicine to treat calcium deficiency and several other conditions.

With so many factors that can be the cause of poor absorption of calcium, I decided I will pray and ask the Lord Jesus to heal me as I definitely suffer from quite a lot of the symptoms shown.

I’m on medication to lower my extrogen as the bi-lateral breast cancer I was diagnosed with, is estrogen receptive and was consequently ‘feeding’ the cancer. I now take Anastrozole 1mg daily.
All these things should be borne in mind.
