@Christy Risinger, MD. Thank you Dr. Risinger for going over these 3 at-home CV tests along with the pros and cons. The last test while pretty accurate relies on too much technology that can cause problems. I agree with you that the Binax Now test seems to be the best of the 3 tests you covered.

Keeping you and your family in my daily prayers.

My wife, kids and I tested positive with the Ellume test than negative with a PCR test.

Thank you for your thorough review of these home test kits. Is there anyway to get a results document to give to a business asking for printed results?

I purchased an Ellume home test today and the only required fields were birthdate, state, and zipcode. It does ask for a lot more information, but most of it is optional to provide. I'm not sure if they changed that recently or not. The app indicates that they ask for your email address so that you can easily share a test result with your doctor or employer, but it's not required.

I’m on my second day of symptoms and I have a 99.9 degree fever with fatigue and a little phlegm. I took two tests and they were negative. I have work on Saturday and don’t know what to do. My employer isn’t very understanding. I almost want to test positive so I don’t have to spread germs.

3:20 PCR test is 100% accurate??? 🤦 That’s woefully inaccurate. What CT is used? (tiny disclaimer unreadable)

How about the QUIDEL QuickVUE OTC Covid-19 Test? It only takes 10 minutes for testing which will give you results within 15 minutes. It too comes with two tests to serial test within 24-36hrs.

I like the Binax and bought one however my only problem was I couldn’t get the drops in correctly on the card. Probably just me and o will try it again but that was my personal experience a couple months ago.

Hi Dr. Risinger, I appreciate your videos but I was surprised by your unequivocal endorsement of the PCR test. There's lots of scientific literature pointing out that there currently are no national standards for conducting the test. At low cycles, 20-25, the test is considered accurate. But labs often use higher cycles, 30-45 and with each increase the accuracy of the test falls off considerably. Even the founder of PCR, Dr. Kerry Mullis said before his death that PCR was designed for research, not a medical diagnosis. The reason was because depending on where you set the test parameters you can get a positive even for a viral particle from a cold that the patient might have had weeks ago. Here's another example. Last year 700 NFL players tested positive and were quarantined from their teammates and family. None developed Covid-19. What are the odds that 700 randomly chosen people would all become "asymptotic carriers?" My guess is that even with the very speculative science on asymptomatic carriers that it's highly improbable that 100% of that group that size would all be asymptomatic. The only explanation is many (how many we don't know 50%, 80%?) were false positives.

Great review. Is Abbot test only for current infection or can it tell antibodies from past infection?

The US post office takes a week to go 30 miles.
It might never arrive. I would avoid the mail.
Abbot might be the best one.

I still use a flip phone and hate it when I am required to have a smartphone for things like this. Dr Risinger presented a lot of good information in a very short time. I appreciate her trying to help people very much.
