Fawkes swoops in out of nowhere and sheds tears on Snape's wounds from Nagini, healing them. He had proven his loyalty to Dumbledore, restored his own soul, and given Harry everything he needed to defeat the Dark Lord so Fawkes saves Snape from death.

This would have been really cool, I feel like he is also the only known character to make a horcrux that could possibly feel the remorse to repair his soul

You've commented on "Would Snape feel different if Harry was a girl" a bunch of times, and I think it could be an interesting What If. Does it change anything about how the Dursleys treat Harry? How does the story change if Snape does like Harry? Would Harry become better faster friends with Hermione if they shared a dorm, and how does this affect Sorcerer's Stone?

It's tricky to know how much/little it would change, but it could be a fun What If to do.

The soul repair doesn't heal the body, he still passes, but ends up with a "happier" afterlife

Snape would never make a Horcrux. He would want to see Lily again. That is why I think he wanted the DADA job in hopes that the curse would unlive him. 😢

I'm going to be honest. Snape is probably one of the SMARTEST Potion Masters of ever. I would only think that he dies of the poison IF A. He doesn't have a vial of Antivenom, especially one made from Nagini. B. He has a vial but it's broken during the snake biting him. C. He has it and doesn't take it in time

This what if gave me chills, especially him giving Harry the information directly and Harry forgiving him forgiveness as he dies versus the memory after he’s already gone!!

Moody's defense at Grimmauld Place was some dust Dumbledore rushing at people entering the apartment right? Which was banished by Harry saying "We didn't kill Dumbledore".

I always thought that because Snape was ordered by Dumbledore to kill him, that dust Dumbledore spectre won't harm him anyway. He can just say "Dumbledore ordered me to kill him". And the dust Dumbledore will just get banished too.

Cos when Moody put up that defense, he assumed Snape killed Dumbledore maliciously.

Dumbledore's comment about Harry being the only living soul left in the house for Voldemort to attach to is interesting if you subscribe to the theory that Crookshanks was the Potters' old cat... Imagining Voldemorts soul attaching itself to Crookshanks to make an even more grumpy cat is pleasing to me.
