WOW...
How can I thank you man...?
I`m photographer and my 4tb backup disk was not working properly, your video solved it...!
I already been in the computer for more than 10 hrs trying to fix it.
You know about tech stress? I was 1000% above the exploding line.
Right now its seems to be working, I`m going to restart and see.
Thank you, you truly save my ass today.
Best wishes for you and your people, stay safe, and may all good things come your way always.

P.S: that jump when it says it might erase the content was one of the bravest things I have done in a long long time.

Some say, the only way to fix broken partitions is to re-install OSX which fixes previous boot partition problems without erasing your data. This is assuming the HDD hasn't completely failed

Great Stuff and thanks for your time, however it will be great if you added the actual command as text as this will be really helpful -

By any chance is there a command that would change the partition scheme on the drive? About 12 years ago I converted my Pismo HDD to MBR from APM, and I cannot boot it now, so I wan`t to convert it back to original somehow.

"A GUID Partition Table (GPT) partitioning scheme is required (-69773)" I am receiving this message.. Great video. Could you tell me what might be the problem with my drive, please?

Your video on the diskutil is great. I'm in the process of making a clone copy of the disk but thought of using the new SDD and formatting as AFPS encrypted and re-running CCC but warning comes up that the machine may not start properly etc etc. Not sure if that would work anyway.

Not sure if you have worked out a work around but everything says that Mojave will not operate Time Machine due to format not being encrypted. Is there a way to work around this problem that you miraculously discovered. I can't upgrade to 64 bit as my accounting software is still the old 32 bit AccountEdge which works fine.

Cheers

Ok, cool, followed the steps and it told me at the end ... Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map
Error: -69854: A disk with a mount point is required. Different scenario for me... hahaha ???

Hello all! I know this is a late comment, but I have followed all the directions and still seem to get this error messsage after creating new volumes for mounting -

mount: exec for /Volumes/New: No such file or directory
mount: /Volumes/New failed with 72

Does this mean that my drive is toast and have to hire a pro? Its all my past business data and im hoping to mount it for a backup so i can move on! Any help would be very appreciated thank you all.
