An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available. Click next to attempt using an unencrypted connection.
to fix that:
you need:
1. Manually configure server settings then click Next.
2. select POP or IMAP
4. click More Settings
5. incoming: TLS ; Port: 143
outgoing :TLS ; Port: 587

That's not really a fix to the issue. That's just switching to POP/SMTP.

Thank you E Micro Tech...I was having issue with hotmail and outlook 2016. The settings that worked for me were a little different. I used all the same settings for IMAP but changed the smtp server to 993 ..I don't have an option for straight up TLS just SSL/TLS.
