I've read and listened to loads of studies on the benefits of fibre, and how it nourishes our gut microbiome, and I'm convinced that few of us get as much as we should in our modern diets. I haven't totally convinced my family yet but it's great to see fibre getting more publicity. Thanks!

Sort of surprised beans/legumes didn't end up in the list? That's a win-win of protein and fiber. Plus, whole grains and legumes are easily the biggest fiber sources.
Why settle for 2.5 g of fiber in some carrot sticks alone when just 1/2 cup of most beans is 7g (more than a quarter of your daily needs)? Or add it together by eating those carrots with some homemade hummus or bean dip.
