God the voice acting in this game is phenomenal, you can really hear genuine pain in his voice like his high pitched hyperventilation

During phase 1 I was laughing because he had a face on his chest. When the cutscene started and his eye opened up I shut right the fuck up.

I come back to this scene because of how powerful it is. The sole survivor of a whole race and the only remaining believer of a fearsome yet dying god crying out and giving one final tribute so that this dying god would grant them the strength they need to live another day.

This (and the several trips to the fog door) is the moment you might realize that this is the alive version of the SEVERAL corpses outside the arena

This cutscene made my skin crawl with that Godzila roaring. Also one of very few bosses I felt actually genuinely bad after killing them. Looked like I cool dude I would forge a nice sword with while having a beer. He did not deserve that pain
