If you're really having trouble with the fire giant, you can power through phase 1 and summon Alaxander for phase 2, providing some cover for him. Alaxander is morbidly a beast

I literally just went around his feet on my steed and kept on hitting and avoiding attacks by going behind him…
Took me three tries.

The cutscene of his ankle turning into a 90 degree angle was the funniest shit I seen in a game for a while now

Mimic Tear +10, proc bleed twice at once somehow when he goes into his second phase, watch him die immediately after the cutscene

Fire giant took me 80+ tries.
Your video was helpful with phase 1 but I found myself still stuck on phase 2.
But with some rng and 90 percent skill in his second phase (his moveset pattern was very nice to me on my final attempt) I was able to slay thr monstrosity that will forever live rent free in my head

Step one: lure him to the one hill, jump around hill and avoid his ranged attacks until he breaks his leg jumping to follow you.
Step two: repeat step one. Win.

This may have been patched since, but I don't regret it. This fight sucked.

For the large slam he does with the shield you can watch his foot, when it touches the ground you dodge, works every time.

If you're a mage, getting the Nebula curved sword absolutely destroys his first phase. With the ash of war, I could completely skip his pyromancy phase and go straight to the second.
