I have never played D&D and I was so against the idea of a turn-based, top-down view game that I resisted BG3 for a long time. A couple of weeks ago, I gave in and decided to give it a shot. It took me a couple of days before I felt comfortable with it, especially the combat, but since then I just can't stop playing it.
To anyone else who may be resisting it - give it a shot. You won't regret it.

I'm sorry, I'm still blown away by that price point. $80 for that kind of mega deluxe edition, when the STANDARD price for a full game is $60 (even more if it is physical copy, in some cases)...that's wild. Larian is just building all kinds of good will, a paltry extra $20 for that much swag is an amazing value. I'm kinda floored.

Baldur's Gate 3 has definitely set the New Standard to RPG's... leaving Bethesda Softworks behind with it's Empty Sand Box design. Hamnerfell ⚒️ will be another failure like Fallout 76, Starfield, etc.

Remember, Larian actually approached ms and offered to put bg3 on gp for a mere 5mil, but some dopey exacs at ms said nah, its stadia fodder. How wrong they were🤷🏿‍♂️. So it could still come to gp.

Larian is refusing corporate offers left and right. I cant imagine what kind of money would have to Phil put on the table so BG3 ends up on GP.
If Larian makes a sci-fi game, I will literally explode. Ordered that sweet edition already, it is refreshing to have a studio I just want to give my money to.

8:09 I've said it before, and i'll say it again. A new isommetric/cRPG Fallout or KOTOR3 developed by Larian, or an studio with a similar vision and expertise in this type of game (InExile, Obsidian, owlcat games, etc), would be a dream come true. It's such a shame such IPs are not being used to their fullest right now by their owners, specially Fallout (the most we'll get is Todd trying to sell us more mtx in 76 / FO4).

In a perfect world, Larian Studios is contracted to work on Kotor 3. Them and InXile are the only studios I'd trust with that specific property.

In an even more perfect world, those two, CDPR, Obsidian, Bioware, and Activision all get their chance making a star wars game. If Lucas still had the franchise this could have 10 years and I can count on one hand the amount of star wars games we've gotten, only half of them good. They need to to open up the license or give it to Microsoft.

I've never played Baldurs Gate or D&D before and the only turn based game I played was Fire Emblem.... But BG3 is so amazing. I'm so happy I took the plunge. ❤

If you're on the fence about BG3... Don't be! It doesn't take long to get used to the controls. The story, characters, ability to RP, and romance are all fantastic! ❤️
